End User Terms of Use
Governing participation in AI-powered research interviews
Last updated 16 October 2026
These End User Terms of Use (the “End User Terms” or “Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between Uploaded Minds, Inc (as identified in Section 13 below) (“Uploaded Minds,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and you, the individual participating in a research interview through the Uploaded Minds platform dipio.ai (“you,” “your,” or the “End User”).
You have been invited to participate in a research interview by a company, organisation, or individual that uses Uploaded Minds’s services (the “Customer”). The interview is conducted through Uploaded Minds’s platform using artificial intelligence technology (the “Platform” or “Services”).
By checking the “I agree” or “I accept” or similar context box and proceeding with the interview, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these End User Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not proceed with the interview.
Introduction
A direct agreement between you and Uploaded Minds
These End User Terms are a direct agreement between you and Uploaded Minds. They are separate from and independent of any agreement between Uploaded Minds and the Customer who invited you to participate.
The English-language version of these Terms is authoritative. If there is a conflict with a translated version, the English version prevails.
Section 1About the interview
1.1What you are participating in
You are being invited to participate in a behavioural research interview. During the interview:
- You will interact with an artificial intelligence (AI) agent, not a human interviewer. The AI agent is powered by Uploaded Minds’s technology and is designed to conduct in-depth, conversational research interviews.
- The interview will be recorded. Your voice, and where applicable your video, will be captured, recorded, and stored by Uploaded Minds for the purposes described in these Terms and the Privacy Notice.
- The recording will be transcribed and analysed using AI systems. Uploaded Minds’s artificial intelligence will generate a transcript of the interview and perform automated qualitative and quantitative analysis of your responses.
- The results will be provided to the Customer who invited you to participate. The Customer will receive analytical reports, insights, and other deliverables generated from your interview and the interviews of other participants.
1.2Voluntary participation
Your participation in the interview is entirely voluntary. You may choose not to participate, and you may stop the interview at any time without giving a reason and without any negative consequence. If you stop the interview, data collected up to that point may still be processed in accordance with these Terms and the Privacy Notice.
1.3No professional advice
The AI agent is a research tool. It does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, or any other professional advice. Nothing said by the AI agent during the interview should be interpreted as professional guidance or a recommendation.
Section 2Eligibility
By proceeding with the interview, you represent and warrant that:
- you are at least eighteen (18) years of age, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher;
- you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
- you are participating voluntarily and with informed awareness of the nature of the interview; and
- if you are participating on behalf of or at the request of a third party, you have the authority to do so and to bind yourself to these Terms.
If you do not meet these eligibility requirements, you must not participate in the interview.
Section 3Your Content
3.1What is Your Content
During the interview, you will provide information and data to the Services. “Your Content” includes everything you provide or that is generated during your participation, including:
- your voice recordings and audio data;
- video recordings (where applicable);
- your interview responses and statements;
- voice characteristics, acoustic features, and voiceprints derived from your recordings;
- transcripts generated from your recordings;
- behavioural data, patterns, and metadata generated during the interview;
- device and technical information collected automatically, as described in Section 3.3; and
- any other content, data, or information you provide through the Services.
3.2Your rights in Your Content
As between you and Uploaded Minds, you retain ownership of the original ideas, opinions, and information you express during the interview. However, by participating and accepting these Terms, you grant Uploaded Minds the licence described below.
3.3Device and technical information
When you open an interview link and take part in an interview, the Platform automatically collects certain information from your device, browser and internet connection (“Device Information”). Depending on your device and settings, this may include:
- the type, operating system, browser and approximate model of your device, its estimated price range, and your screen size, language and display settings;
- your approximate location (country, region and city) as indicated by your internet connection, and your device’s time zone. We do not collect your precise (GPS) location;
- the type of internet connection you appear to be using (for example mobile data, home internet, a VPN or a relay service). To determine this, we may share your IP address with a service provider that performs this lookup on our behalf. We do not store your IP address;
- the app or website through which you reached the interview link, and any campaign information contained in that link;
- information about how you completed the registration form, such as the time taken and the number of edits, pastes and switches to other windows;
- the general type of microphone and audio devices you use (for example “wireless earbuds” or “built-in microphone”). We do not store the names of your devices, which may contain personal names; and
- a random identifier stored in your browser, which lets us recognise whether the same device has taken part before. It is not used to track you on other websites.
Device Information forms part of Your Content. Uploaded Minds uses it for the purposes set out in Section 4.1, in particular to verify that participation is genuine (for example, to detect duplicate or automated participation), to understand how responses differ between groups of participants, and to build Synthetic Twins.
The Customer who invited you may receive a summary of your Device Information, limited to your device type, its estimated price range, your approximate location, the app or website you came from, and whether you used mobile data or wifi. The Customer does not receive your IP address, your connection type beyond mobile data or wifi, or information about how you completed the registration form.
Further details, including the service providers we use and how long we keep this information, are set out in the Privacy Notice.
3.4Decision-style estimates
Uploaded Minds may use AI to estimate, from your interview responses, general characteristics of how you make decisions, such as your attitude to risk, your patience and your trust in others. At the end of the interview, you may be asked a few optional questions about these characteristics. You may skip them. These estimates form part of Your Content and are used for research and to build Synthetic Twins. Uploaded Minds does not use them to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.
Section 4Licence to Your Content
4.1Licence grant
By accepting these Terms and participating in the interview, you hereby grant to Uploaded Minds a licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly or otherwise perform and display, and otherwise exploit Your Content for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: to provide, operate, and maintain the Services, including delivering analytical reports, insights, and other deliverables to the Customer who invited you, and to provide the trust, safety, and moderation features of the Platform;
- Service Improvement: to improve, enhance, and optimise the Services, including the accuracy, quality, reliability, and performance of Uploaded Minds’s analytical, transcription, voice synthesis, and insight generation systems;
- Model Training and Development: to train, fine-tune, validate, evaluate, and develop Uploaded Minds’s artificial intelligence models, including voice models, language models, and behavioural analysis models;
- New Products and Services: to develop new features, products, and services, including synthetic audience and synthetic twins modelling, behavioural simulation, voice technology, and predictive analytics capabilities;
- Research and Benchmarking: to conduct internal research, benchmarking, quality assurance, and safety testing, and to develop, improve, and validate our products and services. This may include the use of aggregated and de-identified data sets to generate statistical insights, industry benchmarks, and analytical models. We may use such aggregated and de-identified data for external research and publication purposes, including in academic or industry journals, provided that such data does not identify, and cannot reasonably be used to identify, any individual user or customer;
- Aggregated Insights: to generate anonymised, aggregated statistical analyses, benchmarks, and insights for use across the Platform and in Uploaded Minds’s products and services;
- Synthetic Twins: to create and host the digital AI replica that models your specific individual decision-making patterns, behaviours, and responses based on Your Content;
- Legal Compliance and Safety: to comply with applicable law, enforce these Terms, and protect the rights, property, and safety of Uploaded Minds, its users, and third parties; and
- Anonymised Uses: any other purpose for which Your Content has been fully and irreversibly anonymised and is therefore no longer personal data under applicable law.
4.2Licence terms
The licence you grant is:
- perpetual and irrevocable: this licence survives the end of the interview and cannot be withdrawn (except as set forth in Section 8 regarding personal data deletion rights, which apply prospectively);
- non-exclusive: you may share the same information with others;
- royalty-free and fully paid: no additional fees are owed to you for this licence;
- worldwide: valid in every jurisdiction; and
- sub-licensable through multiple tiers: Uploaded Minds may make it available to sub-processors, affiliates, and partners as necessary to exercise the licence rights.
4.3Voice and audio data
You specifically acknowledge and agree that the licence in Section 4.1 expressly covers all voice recordings, voice characteristics, acoustic features, voiceprints, and all other Voice Data derived from your participation.
4.4Video and visual data
Where the interview involves video recording, the licence in Section 4.1 extends to all video recordings, visual data, facial expressions, body language indicators, and other visual information captured during your participation, for the same purposes and on the same terms.
4.5What you are not granting
For clarity, this licence does not:
- transfer ownership of your original ideas and opinions to Uploaded Minds: you retain ownership of the underlying content you express;
- prevent you from sharing the same information, ideas, or opinions with anyone else; or
- grant Uploaded Minds the right to use your name, photograph, or likeness in marketing materials without your separate consent.
Section 5Data processing consents
5.1Service delivery consent
By proceeding with the interview, you consent to the processing of Your Content (including Voice Data) by Uploaded Minds and its sub-processors for the purpose of delivering the Services to the Customer who invited you. This includes recording, transcription, AI-assisted analysis, and generation of deliverables. This consent is required for participation in the interview.
5.2Model training consent
You explicitly and voluntarily consent to the processing of your personal data, including Your Content and Voice Data, by Uploaded Minds for the following purposes:
- Service Delivery: to conduct the interview, generate transcripts, perform AI-assisted analysis, and deliver analytical reports to the Customer who invited you;
- Model Training: to use your data (in anonymised and aggregated formats) to train, fine-tune, validate, and improve Uploaded Minds’s artificial intelligence models, including voice, language, and behavioural systems; and
- Synthetic Twins: to create, host, and share a digital AI replica that models your specific individual decision-making patterns, behaviours, and responses for the ongoing research and simulation.
5.3How data processing relates to the licence
These Terms establish two complementary frameworks:
- The content licence (Section 4) governs the intellectual property and usage rights that Uploaded Minds has in Your Content. It is a contractual licence that forms part of these Terms.
- The data processing consents (this Section 5) provide the legal basis for processing your personal data under applicable data protection law (such as the GDPR). They operate within the framework of data protection regulation.
Both frameworks work together. The licence gives Uploaded Minds the right to use Your Content, and the consents ensure that the processing of your personal data complies with applicable data protection law. For more information on how your personal data is processed, please see the Privacy Notice.
Section 6Intellectual property
6.1Uploaded Minds’s property
The Platform, Services, and all related technology, including Uploaded Minds’s artificial intelligence models (voice models, language models, behavioural analysis models), algorithms, software, user interface, documentation, and know-how, are and remain the exclusive property of Uploaded Minds and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms transfers any Uploaded Minds intellectual property to you.
6.2Aggregated data and derived models
Uploaded Minds exclusively owns all anonymised, aggregated data and all AI models, datasets, and analytical outputs derived from Your Content and the content of other participants. You have no ownership interest, right of access, or claim in or to such aggregated data or derived models. The use of Your Content for model training and the development of derived models does not entitle you to any revenue, royalties, or compensation from Uploaded Minds.
6.3AI Outputs
The analytical reports, insights, and other outputs generated by the Services from your interview (“AI Outputs”) are provided to the Customer. AI Outputs are generated by Uploaded Minds’s models and are not your property. You have no right of access to the AI Outputs generated from your interview unless separately agreed with the Customer.
6.4Restrictions
You shall not:
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to discover the source code, algorithms, or architecture of the Services;
- copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Services;
- use the Services for any purpose other than participating in the research interview for which you were invited;
- attempt to access data of other participants, the Customer’s account, or Uploaded Minds’s systems; or
- introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code to the Platform.
Section 7Your representations and warranties
By participating in the interview and accepting these Terms, you represent and warrant that:
- you meet the eligibility requirements in Section 2;
- Your Content, and Uploaded Minds’s use thereof as permitted by these Terms, will not violate any rights of any person or entity;
- you have the right and authority to grant the licence in Section 4;
- if your voice is included in Your Content, you have the right to licence your voice as described in Section 4.3;
- Your Content does not contain unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable material;
- Your Content does not include protected health information (as defined by HIPAA) unless you have been specifically informed that such information may be provided; and
- your participation is voluntary and you are providing informed, freely given consent.
Section 8Your rights and choices
8.1Data subject rights
Under applicable data protection law (including the GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access: request confirmation of whether your personal data is being processed and obtain a copy;

8.2Withdrawal of model training consent
You may withdraw your Model Training Consent (Section 5.2) at any time by contacting Uploaded Minds at privacy@dipio.ai (see Section 13) or as specified in the Privacy Notice. Withdrawal is prospective: it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
8.3Effect of data deletion
If you request deletion of your personal data:
- Uploaded Minds will delete or anonymise your identifiable personal data within the timeframes required by applicable law;
- data that has already been irreversibly anonymised and incorporated into aggregated data or derived models prior to your request cannot be extracted, isolated, or deleted, as such data no longer constitutes personal data under applicable law;
- the content licence in Section 4 survives the deletion of identifiable personal data, to the extent that anonymised, non-identifiable data remains; and
- deletion does not affect AI Outputs that have already been generated and delivered to the Customer.
8.4How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of the rights described above, contact Uploaded Minds at privacy@dipio.ai. Uploaded Minds will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
